I found this plate in the stream bed along the bank, just downstream from a lot of broken up pottery. This must have been unearthed during the last flooding. I did some quick research on the label as pictured. The company started in 1875 and this plate was made sometime between then and no later than 1897, so pre-1897. I looked on ebay a little and found none that matched this piece but some made by the same company so I don't believe it is of high value. But still neat at over 100 years old. Not sure if Mark would be interested in these pictures or not for the club site. I also had something heavy in my sluice box and stayed in the bottom of the pan during cleanup, I might just bring this to the next meeting, maybe someone will have an idea of what it is.
